Coconut Macaroons

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups coconut
1 tsp vanilla

Beat egg whites and salt to soft peaks. Beat in sugar until very stiff. Stir in coconut and vanilla. Grease and flour sheets. Bake at 325ø for 15 to 20 mins, being careful not to let them burn. Cool on rack. Makes 3 dozen.
